First I've watched of the series, but I was familiar with "plot" of them going in. Over all a bit too gory for my taste, but still genuinely enjoyable and the fact that they're shorts makes them much more palatable. Better enjoyed with friends.
Storm Drain: The main reason we watched the video as a family. Loved the creature design. So-so on the plot. Very quirky "adult swim" ending, especially paired with the masher add.
The Empty Wake: My favorite of the 4 shorts. Just a fun spooky bottle scare. More Magnus Archives vibes.
The Subject: Blicky, then sad. The goriest of the 4, but the gore's so much that it reaches the levels of Doom/Resident Evil/The Evil Within absurdist, especially paired with the creature designs. With the camera for a face and only seeing the hands (plus the fucking gun upgrade) it felt VERY video gamey.
Terror: Fucks. Vamp design fucks. Those Types of 'murican assholes all going out in a spectacular blaze of stupidity fucks. The creature killing itself to kill them all? Fucks.
